ADS-B Exchange is a platform and community that provides access to unfiltered, real-time flight data collected through a network of ADS-B/Mode S/MLAT receivers. It allows users to track aircraft movements, monitor flight paths, and access detailed aircraft information, including registration details and ownership. ADSB01 is a receiver that monitors aircraft data over radio frequency. The ADSB01 can then upload the data to the ADSB Exchanges if configured to do so. The user will be able to see the aircraft where this unit is installed. the range is typically about 100 miles or more but it depends on the location of the unit and antenna. The ADSB01 is build on a quad core single board computer loaded with the ADSB Exchange application and runs the ADSB software for aircraft tracking and monitoring. This unit can read flying aircraft RF signal and displays that information on a map. The ASDB exchange application can be access using a web browser and will display the tail number, carrier, GPS location, weather, and several other information. This is a great application that is also used to transfer the collected data to a central server. The GPS72 module can be purchased separately if needed. The GPS module is not necessary if the location of the unit is entered manually but recommended especially if feeding the data to the ADSB server. The GPS72 must have a direct sky view to properly receive the GPS data and is therefore not suited for every installation. The ADSB01 comes with a small display that shows its performance parameters as well as its IP address which is needed to access it over a web browser. The ADSB01 must be wall of window mounted for proper cooling.
